As any powerful objective lens for microscope, the depth of focus of the Ultra lens is very short (<0.15 mm). Therefore, this lens model is especially suitable for observing thin, flat samples in transmitted light, with a stable mechanical support. (Optical resolution < 3.5 microns in transmitted light).
