Which is the magnification factor and the FOV?

The magnification factor is the ratio between the size of the subject seen on the device screen and its actual size. Said that, on an average smartphone screen the magnification of DIPLE Black is about 150x; it can be multiplied by the digital zoom without observing significant pixelation effect.

A precise calibration of the system (phone+lens) can be performed with a micro-ruler (you can find it among the accessories).

The useful Field of View (FOV) is about 150 micrometers in diameter, around the center.

For which subjects should I use this lens?

The best subjects on which you can use your DIPLE Black are botany, histology and zoology thin samples in prepared slides. With this lens you can even see some kind of bacteria.

The working distance of this lens is very short (0.2-0.3mm), therefore it is possible to use it only with very thin samples.

What is its working distance?
